Marcia Anderson joined the Association in 1998 as the first publishing professional on the staff and she has since overseen a growing publishing program and the production of more than one hundred new titles. Her career began with positions in the Smithsonian Institution’s Office of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Native American Museums Program. She later spent ten years with the American Institute for Conservation of Historic and Artistic Work and the American Battle Monuments Commission. She holds degrees from the College of William and Mary and The George Washington University.
