White House History with Ann Compton: Patricia Nixon's 50th Anniversary as First Lady
The White House Historical Association's third lecture in our series "White House History with Ann Compton" featured a panel of speakers, including Betty Monkman, former White House Curator, and Patricia Matson, assistant press secretary for Mrs. Nixon, Anita McBride, Director of the First Lady Initiative at American University and former assistant to President George W. Bush and chief of staff to First Lady Laura Bush. This lecture was hosted in partnership with the Richard Nixon Foundation and cover the life and legacy of Patricia Nixon as a loving wife and mother to her family and a devoted first lady to the American people.
