Symposium: Italy in the White House
Long before the emergence of the United States and Italy as independent nations, close connections between our two cultures influenced political philosophy, architecture, cuisine, and more. To chronicle this extraordinary link and share newly discovered historical insights about these connections, the White House Historical Association, together with the Embassy of Italy and the National Italian American Foundation, convened an illuminating cultural event on March 2, 2016. This full-day educational symposium included a unique culinary experience, and architectural tour.
