Melody, a native Washingtonian, began representing the Association in 2000 upon joining the sales team at the White House Visitor Center. She moved from sales associate to manager by 2011 and coordinated the transition from relocation and renovation to the grand reopening of the flagship Visitor Center shop location. Melody holds a bachelor's degree in Business Management and is a proud graduate of the Duke Ellington School of the Arts vocal music curriculum, where she performed at the Smithsonian American History Museum and the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts.
