The bullet that killed President Lincoln
The bullet that killed President Lincoln was marked with the initials A. L. by Dr. Stone who described it as a “leaden-hand made ball flattened somewhat in its passage through the skull.” It measures 43.75 mm and is composed of a mixture of antimony, tin, copper, and soft lead.
