Lucy Hayes' China
Mrs. Hayes employed an artist to design her china, and the result was the most colorful and original of all White House china. Plants and wildlife decorate each plate, and many of the plates are in creative shapes, such as the "Wild Turkey" dinner platter shown here. Creator: Haviland & Co., Limoges, France, 1880.
