Cast Iron Bench
Gardening was one of President Fillmore's passions. He developed plans to improve the south grounds of the White House, which used to be a swamp. This cast iron bench, one of many ordered for the White House, still sits on the South Lawn today. Attributed to Janes, Beebe & Co., New York, 1852
