Alice Roosevelt portrait
Isabelle Hagner recorded the visit of Théobald Chartran in 1902 to paint Mrs. Roosevelt in the White House garden. The portrait now hangs in the White House. She wrote that Chartran also painted the above portrait of Alice, which he presented to her. It hung in Alice Longworth’s Washington home for many years and is now owned by a descendant.
