Eleanor Roosevelt's My Day - Photo 1
Mrs. Franklin D. Roosevelt was photographed during her sitting for the artist Douglas Chandor (1897-1953) in his New York studio in 1949, four years after her departure as a widow from the White House. The finished portrait is considered the best ever painted of Mrs. Roosevelt and is one of the stars of the White House collection.
