Title: Red Room, Truman Administration

Description: The State Room interiors were kept much as they were before the renovation, in a style popular in the 18th century. In the Red Room, one could see red patterned silk wall coverings, a red rug, American and English furniture, white woodwork, and an 18th century musical clock on the mantle given to President Truman by the President of France.
